This isn’t your typical novel study- we won’t just be answering comprehension questions and filling out worksheets. We will be learning new vocabulary from these books- but we will be applying them to our lives so they really stick. We will discuss the themes of these books and how they can compare to our current lives, what we can learn from them, and how we would have handled the situations that the characters in these books did. Purchasing these books isn’t required- if you can borrow a copy from a friend or the library- that is perfect! I will expect that between meetings your child read a chapter of the book. While I hate to stop a child from reading ahead, I need the material to be fresh in their heads SO.. they must revisit the chapters required before our pod meeting. And they can’t tell anyone else what happens in the plot of the story : )
