Digital Art for the Entrepreneur

What do a sticker, a Quinceañera invitation, a t-shirt, an iPad, and a high schooler have in common? The answer: entrepreneurship! For the business-minded and creative teenager, the right guidance and tools can spark limitless possibilities.

This pod starts with Procreate, a beginner-friendly digital art program that opens doors to the digital art business world. In the first four weeks, students will master Procreate basics—from selecting the best screen protectors for their art style to choosing pen nibs, locking layers for precision, and customizing pre-loaded brushes. By the end of the month, your teen will have the confidence to tackle their first creative projects.

In month two, the focus shifts to hands-on creation. Students will design stickers, craft a coloring book page, and produce a simple video showcasing their work. These projects will build their artistic and technical skills while fueling their creativity.

Month three dives into business basics. Teens will explore different business models, learn about essential equipment versus tools they already have, and discuss where to source materials. They’ll also explore the variety of products available in today’s creative markets. This is where their entrepreneurial spark truly ignites as they brainstorm innovative ways to turn their ideas into reality.

The final weeks of the pod focus on financial literacy and the nuts and bolts of running a business. Students will get an overview of business entities, balance sheets, inventory management, and more. By the end of this course, your teen will not only have a solid foundation in Procreate but also a realistic understanding of what it takes to start and grow a creative business.
