🏛️ How Biz Town Works

Welcome to Biz Town! Now that your child is officially a resident, here’s everything you need to know to succeed in our town, earn Biz Dollars, and be part of our growing community.

💼 How to Earn Biz Dollars

In Biz Town, residents earn Biz Dollars 💵 by completing activities and participating in town events. Here's how to keep their paycheck coming:

• Choose a business to work in and complete at least one activity each week.

• Submit your work through the Google Form every week. If you don’t submit the form, you won’t get paid.

• Paychecks are deposited into the student's Learnd & Earn Credit Union account, powered by Classbank, every Tuesday.

• Students can also earn bonus Biz Dollars by participating in:

  • Weekly Quests 🧩 ( $50 Biz Dollars for participating in each quest )

  • Bonus Activities 🏆($25 Biz Dollars for completing each bonus activity)

  • FunClubs 🎉( $50 Biz Dollars for participating in each club)

  • Reading an Epic Book and completing a book report ($10 Biz Dollars for completing each book report). There is no limit to the number of book reports, but all books must be read in our Epic library.

 

🏢 Selecting Your Job

Every resident in Biz Town must select one job to work in. Here’s how it works:

• You can choose only one job at a time.

• Select your job and click Apply Now, which asks: 

  • Choose rank- Select 1

  • What experience do you have for the job? List any previous experience you have had with the subject of the business. If you don't have any, don't worry! That is why you are here to learn. 

  • Why are you interested in the job?

 

No resume is required, just honest answers!

The Governor will approve the application within 72 business hours. Once the student has been officially hired, they can begin their weekly activities. 

 

🏠 Shopping & Your Biz Loft

Once the student has started earning Biz Dollars, they can visit the Biz Town Store to shop. Here's how it works:

1. The student can begin saving for items in the Biz Town Store.

2. There are several items to select, but the majority are on-campus items.

3. Before purchasing on-campus items, students must first purchase a Biz Loft. This is your personal space in Biz Town!

4. After buying your Loft, you can shop for:

   • Decorations 🖼️

   • Furniture 🪑

   • Food and fun items 🍕🎮

5. Your Loft can be used for:

   • Hanging out with friends 👥

   • Hosting small events 🎉

   • Special activities 🧩

   • Running a business (with permission from the Governor 🏛️).

6. Students can purchase e-gift cards with their Biz Dollars.

• • $5 Amazon e-gift card

  • $ Starbucks e-gift card

  • $5 Xbox e-gift card

  • $ Clarie's e-gift card

  • $8.99 V Bucks 

  • $10 Roblox e-gift card

  • $10 Lego e-gift card

  • $10 Kohl's e-gift card

Important:

• You must get permission before using your Loft as a business.

• Violation of the rules will result in fines and consequences.

 

⚠️ Fines & Consequences

We expect every resident to follow the code of conduct and do their best work. Breaking the rules may result in fines or even removal from Biz Town.

You may receive a $200 fine for:
❌ Being dishonest about your work
❌ Repeating the same activity on purpose just to get paid

❌ Plagiarizing or using AI to complete book reports
❌ Inappropriate behavior (spamming the discussion board, chat, or disrupting activities)

You may receive a $100 fine for:
❌ Submitting work with little or no effort

More serious actions may result in being removed from Biz Town, including:
🚫 Bullying
🚫 Name-calling or teasing
🚫 Cursing, racial slurs, or bigoted language

Important:

• In serious cases, the Governor may remove a resident immediately.

• In other cases, you may have the chance to explain yourself through a mock trial or to the City Council.

 

🤝 Working Together

Biz Town is better when we all work as a team! Residents are encouraged to:

• Help other residents during Quests and special activities.

• Be respectful and supportive in all discussions and chats.

• Participate actively to keep our town running strong.

 

✅ What Students Should Do Each Week

To stay on track, follow these simple steps:

1. Complete at least one activity in their chosen business.

2. Fill out the Google Form to submit their work.

3. Check out and join the Weekly Quest for extra Biz Dollars.

4. Be kind, helpful, and respectful to other residents.
