Short Answer
FunCation Academy supports students from Kindergarten through 12th grade. We also allow homeschooling parents and graduates to use our elective courses for personal enrichment, career exploration, and professional certification opportunities.
What Homeschool Parents Should Know
Every child learns differently, so we focus more on a student's academic needs and goals than their age alone. Some students work above grade level in certain subjects, while others may need additional support or time to master concepts.
Our programs are designed to provide flexibility while helping students build a strong academic foundation, explore career interests, prepare for college, and develop real-world skills.
FunCation Academy also recognizes that learning doesn't stop at graduation. Many homeschooling parents have spent years focusing on their children's education and may be looking to develop new skills, explore career interests, or earn industry certifications as they return to the workforce.
Through our elective course offerings, adults can continue their own educational journey alongside their students.
How FunCation Academy Helps
FunCation Academy provides educational opportunities for the entire family. From Kindergarten through high school, students can access curriculum, academic support, and enrichment opportunities designed to help them succeed.
Parents may also take advantage of our elective courses to pursue personal interests, build career skills, and work toward certifications that may support future employment opportunities.
Short Answer
No. FunCation Academy is a curriculum and educational services provider, not a school, so we do not hold institutional accreditation.
What Homeschool Parents Should Know
Accreditation is often one of the most misunderstood topics in homeschooling.
Accreditation is a process in which a third-party organization evaluates a school and determines whether it meets that organization's standards. While accreditation can be important in certain situations, it is often far less important to homeschool families than many people believe.
For elementary and middle school students, accreditation is generally unnecessary because students are not earning high school credits. Public schools are required to accept students regardless of their previous educational setting, and students are typically placed according to age and academic needs.
For high school students, accreditation is primarily a consideration when transferring from one high school to another and seeking to have credits accepted by the new school. In those situations, the receiving school determines how transfer credits are handled.
One of the biggest misconceptions in homeschooling is that students must attend an accredited program to get into college. In reality, colleges evaluate applicants using a variety of factors such as transcripts, GPA, SAT/ACT scores (when required), essays, portfolios, extracurricular activities, and other admissions criteria. Homeschooled students from both accredited and non-accredited educational backgrounds are accepted to colleges and universities every year.
The quality of a student's education, academic performance, and preparation for their future goals are typically far more important than whether a curriculum provider or homeschool program is accredited.
How FunCation Academy Helps
FunCation Academy provides high-quality NCAA-approved curriculum, academic support, educational resources, transcripts, and guidance to help families create a strong educational foundation from elementary school through high school graduation.
Our focus is not on accreditation. Our focus is on helping students receive an excellent education and preparing them for whatever path comes next, whether that is college, trade school, military service, entrepreneurship, or entering the workforce.

Short Answer
FunCation Academy creates your student’s account for you. However, some programs require parents to complete a few setup steps before students begin
.
What Homeschool Parents Should Know
Different FunCation Academy programs work in different ways.
For MyPath and FA Boost, students can begin once they receive their login credentials. MyPath students start with an assessment that identifies their current skill level and creates a personalized learning path.
For Courseware and Elective Program students, parents will need to add or select courses before the student begins. This allows families to choose courses based on the student’s academic goals, interests, graduation plan, or career pathway.
For students enrolled in the College Prep Program, families may choose their own courses or request assistance from their College Admissions Advisor. Advisors can help students select courses that align with their academic goals, college plans, and graduation requirements.
We understand that course selection can feel overwhelming at first, especially for families who are new to online homeschooling, transcript planning, or career-based electives. That is why we provide training and support to help families through the process.
How FunCation Academy Helps
Our team is available to help with course selection, curriculum navigation, academic planning, and getting started.
If you are enrolled in Courseware or the Elective Program and are unsure which courses to choose, we encourage you to visit the Virtual Campus during business hours.
Our team can walk you through the process and help you make choices that fit your student’s needs and goals.
Our goal is not just to give families access to curriculum, but to help them use it confidently.

Short Answer
FunCation Academy is more than curriculum. We combine curriculum, teaching support, parent education, tutoring, community, enrichment programs, and an interactive virtual campus to create a complete homeschool experience.
What Homeschool Parents Should Know
Many homeschool programs focus primarily on curriculum. While curriculum is important, successful homeschooling often requires much more than a set of lessons.
Families frequently need help with lesson planning, educational resources, student motivation, academic guidance, social opportunities, and finding support when challenges arise.
FunCation Academy was designed to support the entire homeschooling journey. In addition to curriculum, families have access to:
Teaching support from our team
Study Hall tutoring
Parent workshops and educational resources
FunClubs and community activities
Biz Town enrichment experiences
Our interactive, immersive Virtual Campus
A supportive community of homeschool families
Our goal is to help students succeed while giving parents the tools, resources, and confidence they need to homeschool successfully.
How FunCation Academy Helps
FunCation Academy brings together the resources many homeschool families spend years searching for and places them in one convenient location.
Whether you're looking for curriculum, support, community, enrichment, or educational guidance, we're here to help your family thrive.
Short Answer
No. Most homeschooling parents are not certified teachers, and many begin homeschooling with little or no teaching experience.
What Homeschool Parents Should Know
One of the biggest misconceptions about homeschooling is that parents need a teaching degree or educational background to be successful.
In reality, homeschooling is often less about delivering lectures and more about guiding, supporting, and facilitating your child's learning.
Most homeschool parents learn as they go, just like their students.
At FunCation Academy, we believe parents deserve support too. That's why we provide educational resources, workshops, teaching support, and guidance to help families feel confident throughout their homeschool journey.
Whether you're brand new to homeschooling or have been homeschooling for years, there is always something new to learn.
How FunCation Academy Helps
Our team is available to answer questions, recommend educational resources, assist with lesson planning, provide training, and help families navigate challenges as they arise.
You don't have to homeschool alone. FunCation Academy is designed to support both students and parents every step of the way.
Short Answer
All students need some level of parent involvement, regardless of their age or curriculum. While some students work more independently than others, no online program is completely hands-off.
What Homeschool Parents Should Know
One of the biggest misconceptions about online learning is that students can simply be placed in front of a computer and successfully educate themselves.
While technology can be a powerful educational tool, students still need encouragement, accountability, guidance, and support from the adults in their lives.
The amount of involvement varies based on the student's age, maturity level, learning needs, and educational goals. Younger students typically require more direct supervision, while many middle and high school students can work more independently.
However, even independent learners benefit from regular check-ins, progress monitoring, discussions about what they are learning, and support when challenges arise.
At FunCation Academy, we believe education works best when students, parents, curriculum, and support systems work together.
Homeschooling is not about replacing parents with technology. It is about using educational tools and resources to help parents guide their child's learning journey.
How FunCation Academy Helps
We understand that many parents are balancing homeschooling with work, household responsibilities, and other commitments.
That's why FunCation Academy provides teaching support, Study Hall tutoring, educational resources, parent workshops, and guidance to help families succeed.
Our support services are designed to assist parents, not replace them. When students need help, have questions, or get stuck, they have access to additional support from our team. This creates a stronger educational experience while ensuring parents remain actively involved in their child's education.
The most successful students are those who have both a strong support system at home and access to the educational resources they need to thrive.
