Act It Out: Exploring Writing Genres Through Theater
In this high-energy, interactive workshop, students step into the world of storytelling, literally! Using theater games, role-playing, and short scenes, participants will act out the elements of key writing genres, including narrative, persuasive, informational, and poetry. From dramatic monologues to commercial pitches and news broadcasts, students will explore what makes each genre unique and how to express it with both voice and pen. Ideal for grades 3–12, this workshop builds confidence in both writing and performance, helping students bring the page to the stage and back again
